Chemist
Qualifications:
* BS/MS Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
* 5+ years industrial product development experience
* Coatings formulation skills
* Basic physical testing skills
* Resin synthesis experience
* Ability to perform or develop as needed associated analytical testing
* Ability work with sales and market development to identify and investigate potential applications outside core markets
* Experience with organic surface treatments of pigments
* Understanding of aldol and Cannizzaro reactions
* Customer interaction skills
* Self-driven
Duties:
* Provide technical support to both sales/marketing and manufacturing
* Experience in product development in response to market demands, identifying and initiating research projects designed to support existing and new product applications
* Provide process support to manufacturing in efforts to reduce costs associated with chemical processing procedures
* Maintain sampled inventories, requests, and shipments
